Privacy policy
A data destruction company should be clear about its own data. This is everything this website collects and what happens to it.
Last updated September 18, 2026. This policy covers this website only. Data on equipment you send us for processing is governed by your service agreement and destroyed as set out in it.
What we collect
Only what you type into our quote and contact forms: your name, role, organization, phone number, email address, site address and the details you give about your equipment. When online sending is available, your selected asset file is included with the submitted form. When it is unavailable, the download stays on your device and contains request details and a file summary, not the original attachment.
We don't use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party pixels on this site.
What stays on your device
To avoid losing your work, the quote form saves a draft in your browser's local storage, and the recovery estimator keeps your last estimate there so it can prefill a quote. This data never leaves your device unless you send the form. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
How we use it
To reply to your request, prepare a quote, and deliver the services you engage us for. We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who processes it
Our website host and our email and form providers process form submissions on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it. We'll give you a list on request.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become customers are deleted after 24 months. Customer records are kept for the life of the relationship plus the period required by tax and environmental record-keeping law.
Your rights
California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). To make a request, email privacy@ironbayrecycling.com or call (510) 555-0142. We'll verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
